The awards keep on piling in for the 2014 Jeep® Cherokee. Just a few weeks after being named the Winter Vehicle of New England, a different regional automotive association, the Northwest Automotive Press Association, has given the 2014 Jeep Cherokee nearby Lansing residents love, an all-new honor: the Northwest Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year.

Here at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge, where we have a wide selection of 2014 Jeep Cherokee vehicles in our new Jeep inventory, we are thrilled that the Jeep Cherokee is receiving all these awards, but it comes as no surprise to us. The testing for the awards took place at “Mudfest,” in Snoqualmie, Washington, where over 20 automotive journalists spent two days testing 23 vehicles from 16 manufactures on paved, autocross, and off-road routes.

Anybody who has taken a Jeep Cherokee vehicle off road knows of its legendary capabilities, and the NWAPA singled out its prowess, along with its performance features, fuel economy, and value after rigorous testing. However, in addition to these features, the editors also liked the variety of interior amenities, which keep passengers entertained while you're driving around Grand Rapids. These include a six-speaker audio system equipped with satellite radio, an 8.4-inch touchscreen that controls navigation and other features, as well as optional leather upholstery.

According to Mike Manley, president of the Jeep brand, “the terrain and weather of the Northwest are the perfect environment for Jeep vehicles.” Of course, if the 2014 Jeep Cherokee can handle the rugged wilderness of the Northwest, it can surely handle the streets of Grand Rapids and off-roads of Michigan. Come check it out today at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge!
