When it comes to heavy-duty pickup trucks, it's hard to beat the diverse and powerful offerings of the storied RAM brand. And here at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge, we just found out that our pickup truck maker is bringing back one of our favorites: the RAM 2500 Power Wagon. Set to debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show, this iteration of the RAM pickup is sure to be one of the most beastly models of the truck to date.

For drivers in Grand Rapids and nearby Lansing, 2014 RAM 1500 trucks represent a rare combination of power and finesse, but the upcoming RAM 2500 Power Wagon is going to be built to fit the needs of drivers who need a boatload of torque and horsepower. The vehicle is based on the 2014 RAM 2500 Crew Cab, the 4x4 edition in particular, and rides on 33-inch Goodyear tires mounted on 17-inch wheels, which makes for 17.5 inches of ground clearance, more than the typical 2014 RAM 2500.

Another significant improvement found in the 2014 RAM 2500 Power Wagon is in the electrical system. Unlike the standard version, this one will have twin alternators, together creating 380 amps of stump-pulling current. What's under the hood is no less impressive; the massive 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with cylinder deactivation cranks out an incredible 410 horsepower and 429 pound-per-foot of torque. That's enough to tow 10,810 pounds with ease. This power is then sent to a six-speed automatic transmission and manually activation transfer case.

If all this technical talk is boring you, the best way to experience the majesty and power of the 2014 RAM 2500 Power Wagon is to see and test drive it. This can be accomplished here at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge.
