RAM 1500 Wins Coveted Truck of Texas Award

While we at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM have no doubt that Grand Rapids-area residents love pickup trucks, Texans love them even more. As Texas is the largest pickup truck market in the world, the Knibbe Ranch outside of San Antonio gets the honor of holding the annual Texas Auto Writers Association Truck Rodeo. At this rodeo, automobile writers from all over the country gather to evaluate pickup trucks, SUVs, and crossover vehicles.

The most coveted award at the Truck Rodeo is the Truck of Texas, and for the third time in the last four years, the RAM 1500 won it. Here at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM, we are not surprised to see the RAM 1500 come out on top, but it's still great to see that respected industry professionals are recognizing the powertrain, attractive design, and new technology that the RAM 1500 brings to the table.

The voters in the ceremony also included a dozen representatives each from Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, and Toyota, as well as representatives from crossover and SUV-makers, like Kia, Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz. One of the features of the RAM 1500 that the voters liked was its new EcoDiesel engine, which gives RAM drivers a fuel efficient, environmentally-friendly engine that still delivers impressive torque and horsepower.

The RAM 1500 wasn't the only Chrysler Family vehicle that won at the ceremony. Other big winners were the Jeep Cherokee for the Compact SUV category, the Jeep Grand Cherokee for the Midsize SUV category, and the Dodge Durango for the Full-size SUV category.

When looking for a RAM 1500, Grand Rapids residents can stop by Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM for a wide selection of pre-owned and new RAM vehicles.
