2014 Jeep® Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel Gives Drivers Jeep Power with Impressive Fuel Economy

If you ask the automotive tastemakers what some of the upcoming car trends are, many of them are likely to say diesel-powered vehicles. One of the first vehicles to receive this revolutionary diesel engine treatment is the 2014 Jeep® Grand Cherokee, which is now on out lot here at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge. This new Jeep vehicle has already received plenty of praise from automotive bloggers and everyday Grand Rapids drivers alike for its unique combination of fuel efficiency and trademarked Jeep offroading power.

When you buy a new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee from our dealership, you'll have three engine options available: two gasoline engines and the EcoDiesel. Although the gas engines are powerful on their own, the EcoDiesel adds another level of sophistication to this already sophisticated SUV. If you're worried about a loss of power when moving from the gasoline to the diesel engine, the fact that the EcoDiesel actually has a higher towing capacity – 7,400 pounds – than the V6 gasoline engine should ease those worries.

Of course, perhaps the main draw of the EcoDiesel engine is the increased fuel efficiency, which leads to paying less at the pump. Jeep estimates that you should be able to receive 21 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway. Another advantage is that you are doing your job to help the environment, as the diesel fuel burns cleaner than gas, and the EcoDiesel is also B20 biodiesel-capable, which means it puts out much fewer harmful emissions into the air.

We now have the EcoDiesel engine available for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in Grand Rapids, so come check it out!
