Chrysler Reveals New Plug-In Chrysler Town & Country

Normally when people think about minivans, they don't associate them with eco-friendly hybrid technology. While in the past, minivans haven't been the most fuel efficient of cars, Chrysler is setting out to change that perception with the new Plug-In Chrysler Town & Country. Just revealed last week during presentations given to Fiat Chrysler auto executives last week, the new Plug-In Chrysler Town & Country is set to change how minivans are created.

Here at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge, your local Grand Rapids Chrysler dealer, we admittedly don't know a whole lot of details regarding the new Chrysler minivan as of yet. What we do know is that the Plug-In Chrysler Town & Country will hit dealer lots in 2016 and that it is expected to get an incredible 75 miles per gallon. In contrast, the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country Grand Rapids residents love to drive gets around 26 miles per gallon on the highway, which is actually on the high end of things when it comes to current generation minivans. It will be the first plug-in hybrid minivan sold by any United States automaker.

Also from the presentations, we learned that the Chrysler Town & Country won't be the only plug-in vehicle in the Chrysler lineup, as there will be a new a hybrid crossover SUV also coming in 2016. Both it and the Chrysler Town & Country will also be available in a non-hybrid version. These aren't the only changes for the Chrysler brand; executives also announced the Chrysler 100 small sedan and an unnamed midsize crossover SUV. It's clear that the future is bright for Chrysler.

For now, come test drive our huge selection of Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, and Jeep vehicles!
